INKTOBER 2014: WEEK TWO
Week two introduced more traditional practices. Just one piece had any photoshop work (where it was basically all photoshop, i.e. digital inking.)
INKTOBER 2014: WEEK ONE
So I’m trying to do Inktober again this year.
All of these were done by hand and then scanned in and gussied up in photoshop.
I’m gonna do them in weekly chunks, so, every Monday should bring forth a new batch from the prior week!

"CHARACTER DESIGN COMMISSIONS"
Art Director | Stephen Hesson
Stephen asked me for some character design portraits and I delivered.
"WIZ DUDES" // PROCESS I
I’m continuing work on the Wiz Dudes series between commissions!
"CHARACTER BUSTS" | Process and Sketches
Some sketches and process for a set of character portrait designs I’m being commissioned to do.
"WIZ DUDES" // SKETCHES
Been sketching out some more Wiz Dudes.
Hoping to work on them between commissions and other projects.
It’s nice to have a personal illustration project again, it’s been a while.
Did a portrait commission of my über-skilled friend Bobby Rogers!
"WIZ DUDES // STANLEY"
Wanted to exercise using a vibrant, limited color palette and test out some new brushes.
It’s a wizard dude!
A new production at work = a new "Employees Only" sign!
"Busytown: The Musical" is starting up this month and I was so delighted to work on this sign.
Richard Scarry’s illustrations are sooooo nifty and it was fun conveying a town full of his interesting creatures and vehicles. (I also drew a shout out to my workplace, and it’s pretty obvious and silly.)
I’m super looking forward to seeing the play and the bug in the helicopter is my favorite dude in this drawing.
"WIZ" //SKETCH & PROCESS
Pursuing a new piece and trying to flex some limited color scheme muscles.
