"DOVE ENGRAVING DESIGN"

I was commissioned a while ago to create a design that my friend Ian engraved onto a jewelry box he made for his grandma.

It was nice collaborating with my old roommate from college on this. I want to make more custom designed engravings seeing how my work translates to the media.

Don’t know what I’d use ‘em for though…

"DOMINOES" | Final & Detail/Process Images

A commission done for my aunt Lisi.

She requested a companion piece to this illustration, which featured my grandmother, mother, and aunts.

This time, it’s focused on my grandfather and uncles on my mother’s side of the family.

It was interesting returning to the process I used for my senior project/series “VAIVÉN” roughly two years later.

Also, I forgot how much I like acrylic painting…. I need to do more of that.

Especially dry brushing, because it just makes me feel awesome.

So, I’ve moved to a new place this month and it’s a lot farther away from my day job. So, I have to take longer bus trips.
Today I decided, what the heck, why not do something instead of just listen to music on the bus?
So, I started doodling this on the ride home yesterday. I added the colors and some other elements at home. It was a fun challenge trying to be loose but very purposeful with my lines while in a moving vehicle. I became less careful and tried not to worry too much with how it all turned out.

"YE OLDE (new) COMIX"

These are some revisited comic strips I made back in 2011 when I was studying abroad.

The first one is loosely based on some chatter some of my friends were making and the second one was based on my time in Berlin.

Katy Perry was coming to town and it was very obvious.

"JUNGLE JOURNEY"

Drew this for a new pen pal!

It was pretty fun… I like markers… I should use them more often.

I think I might try to make more pen pals!
